OCTEC is committed to maintaining your dignity through respect for your privacy and the maintenance of confidentiality. We acknowledge and adhere to our responsibilities under the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and aim to ensure that all personal information we collect is accurate and complete, and is protected from interference, loss or misuse (including for direct marketing).
If you wish to access information that we hold about you, you can do so by making a request to an OCTEC manager and we will provide access within 14 days. If you feel that any of the information we hold about you is incorrect, you can request that it be corrected. If you believe that we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, you can make a complaint and we will investigate the complaint in a sensitive and professional manner. And if you want to remain anonymous or use a pseudonym when requesting or collecting general information about our services and programs, you can do so. OCTEC respects your privacy and we are committed to ensuring that your personal information is managed in an open and transparent manner.
Your Personal Information
In order to provide you employment education and other services, we may need to collect personal information such as name, address, work history, qualifications, career details or other information generally contained in a resume.

You are encouraged to help us keep your personal information accurate, complete and up-to-date by contacting your consultant or this organisation and informing us of any changes to your details. - the collection is required or specifically authorised by law; or
- the collection is necessary to prevent or lessen a serious and imminent threat to the life or health of any individual, where the subject of the information is physically or legally incapable of giving consent; or
- the collection is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of a legal claim.
